Alabaster Water Board Wins Award

The Alabaster Water Board (AWB) was recognized by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management at the annual Surface Water Conference held on October 18th. AWB received a four-year Water Plant Optimization Award for years 2019 through 2022 for outstanding water plant operations and for providing protection against waterborne disease above and beyond the regulatory requirements.

VWF Presents Flags

VFW-Lance Corporal Rivers Memorial Post 12185 presented flags representing each branch of the U.S. Armed Forces to the Alabaster mayor and City Council.  The city is grateful for the VFW members and for everything they do to support the nation’s veterans.

Dr. Vickers Recognized

Congratulations to Alabaster City Schools Superintendent Dr. Wayne Vickers for winning the Dr. Jack Hawkins Leadership Award at the 2023 Dave Wood Patriotism Program. Dr. Vickers’ award was presented at Thompson High School’s Performing Arts Center through the Youth Leadership Development Program.

A total of 21 Shelby County healthcare professionals were honored at the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce’s ninth annual Healthcare Professional of the Year Luncheon for 2023. The 2023 Alabaster Nominees were:
