Abigail Bess: “I am so excited about this year’s Alabaster Teen Council group. The thing that I am most looking forward to this year is the Teen Movie Nights this summer! It is an amazing way for our community’s teenagers to come together and have fun!his school year will be my senior year, and I am excited about all of the senior activities that some of the other students and I get to plan.”
Kaitlyn Burnett: “This is my second year on teen council, and I am so excited to see what it entails. This year we have an amazing group of new members who I feel will bring great new ideas to the council and a flair to the events we put on. We have our typical movie nights and slip and slide event coming this summer, but this year they will be hosted at the newly built Patriots Park. We hope to have another productive year on Teen Council filled with lots of community gatherings.”
The remaining Teen Council Movie Nights are scheduled for July 11, July 25, and August 8. The annual Slip N Slide day will be on July 18. Check the Teen Council’s social media for event locations.
