Beautification Board
The August 2022 Beautification Board Winner is the Ward 7 home of Barry & Karen Gladstone at 605 Lane Park Drive. The brick beauty features a carefully manicured lawn with mature Crepe Myrtles, Azaleas, Camellias, Roses, Purple Hearts, and Hokies. Beds are bordered by brick pavers, and potted plants add pops of color.
The September 2022 Beautification Board Winner is Ward 1 home of Robert and Donna Smelcer at 201 Coral Circle. This tidy ranch-style home features wood accents that add charm and character, and bordered beds features colorful Marigolds and shrubs. The flagpole stands tall in front of the house within a bordered bed planted with colorful annuals.
The Commercial Beautification Board Winner for July-September is the Race Trac Station at 550 Highway 31. The station takes great care in maintaining the appearance of the building and surrounding property. Landscaping includes planted trees, beds with attractive shrubbery, and meticulously mowed grass.
